3 Tips for Refreshing Your Kitchen on a Budget

It’s no secret that a kitchen remodel isn’t always the most budget friendly. However, there’s hope! Follow these three tips for refreshing your kitchen on a budget. It may take a little more patience and effort, but giving your kitchen a new look without sacrificing your budget is possible.

Paint the Cabinets

Cabinets can be big eyesores in your kitchen if they’re out of date. But installing new cabinets can cost a lot of money. Between the cabinets themselves and installation, this project could use up your kitchen budget in its entirety.

Avoid this issue and paint your cabinets instead. Recruit someone to help you complete this task; with the right tools and the right help, you could benefit greatly from painting rather than replacing.

Keep in mind that cabinet hardware can change a look entirely as well. Wait for discounts at the hardware store near you before you purchase.

Organize the Counter Space

If counter space prevents you from utilizing your kitchen as you’d like, don’t fret. Consider reorganizing your current kitchenware to fully utilize the space you already have. For example, if you have a spice rack sitting on your countertop, consider buying a different spice rack that you can place in a drawer. Additionally, make a list of the appliances you use on a daily basis and want to keep on the countertops. Whatever you don’t use regularly, you may want to store elsewhere. This may take some effort, but it’s the cheapest of our three tips for refreshing your kitchen on a budget.

Add Backsplash and Grout

Adding backsplash to your kitchen can take it up an entire notch. If you want to save money in this process, consider peel-and-stick backsplash. However, for something that will look more professional and last in the long run, find a backsplash you like on sale.

If you already have this feature in your kitchen, consider refreshing your tile grout. This could include tinting or simply cleaning what’s already there.
